Luck of the Irish Spring Gala

The third annual “Luck of the Irish Spring Gala” will take place on Saturday April 9 from 7:30 - 10:30 at the Landmark Hotel in Metairie! At the Gala, you will enjoy an open bar (including house and call brands of liquor), finger foods, buffet dinner, dancing to the tunes of DJ Ice, and the silent auction. We also will award the annual Benilde Medals for Alumni Achievement and Service to Parish and School. It is the party of the year for St. Benilde School!

We have several new additions to this year’s Gala we hope you will enjoy!

✦The Sunset on Pontchartrain Patron Party will run from 6:30 - 7:30 the night of the gala up in the Benson Tower overlooking Lake Pontchartrain. In addition to hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, patrons will be treated to a performance by the St. Benilde School Choir and stunning views of the sun setting on Lake Pontchartrain. Patrons who purchase tickets as Gold Sponsors and above receive admission into the Patron Party.

✦Interactive Silent Auction! St. Benilde School is partnering with 501 Auctions to take the silent auction to another level. All silent auction items will now be able to be viewed online through our new gala website (501auctions.com/sbsgala) prior to the gala (some items can already be previewed now). The auction itself will open one week prior to the gala, so if you see something you just got to have, you can place your bid early. You can then direct the system to automatically make new bids up to a specific amount if someone outbids you, or the system can alert you with a text message when you are outbid. This way, you can spend more time dancing and less time checking and rechecking your bids. We will even have leader boards displayed in the gala hall so you can check out who is winning for each auction item. Finally, the system will automatically charge your credit or debit card at the end of the night, so you don’t need to wait in a long checkout line! And if you cannot make it to the gala, you can still bid on items from wherever you are!
