Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are duly delegated by the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New Orleans to assist the priests in distributing Holy Communion with all proper respect and reverence; they commit themselves to serve God and their fellow parishioners in church, in the homes of our homebound and in nursing homes, in an effort to support the supernatural life of the soul.
Holy Communion to the Homebound
Parishioners who are homebound and unable to attend Mass are brought Holy Communion by Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. This outreach of care and support to our elderly and/or sick of our parish nourishes the person with the Body of Christ and provides a visible connection to our parish community.
If you or someone you know is homebound and in need of Holy Communion, please call the Parish Office.
