St. Benilde Catholic Church Parish Strategic Vision Goals & Action Items
A: Liturgy and Discipleship A-1: To foster an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church by
Creating and launching a parish-wide faith formation program for all ages and stages in life, bringing our community together as a parish family. This will allow us to better engage ALL ages of life and grow our middle and high school youth offerings.
Launching a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for ages 3-5, fostering a greater love and reverence for the sacred liturgy and Church teaching.
Continuing to grow and develop our sacramental prep programs through ongoing research; Personally reach out to families of children in sacramental years and touching base with them on their family’s sacramental and spiritual needs.
Forming a St. Benilde School service-learning program which will provide more intentional outreach services to our local community.
Continuing and offering more Bible Studies/Prayer Groups to fit various schedules and stages of life.
Creating an official parish welcoming committee so as to do a better job of engaging new parishioners in our faith community.
Fostering more intentional outreach to persons living within our parish boundaries through a variety of strategies (printed materials, door-to-door invitations, social media, etc.).
Supporting parish leaders through retreats, workshops and appreciation events so as to better equip them for their ministerial roles.
A-2: To increase our knowledge and love for the True Presence of our Eucharistic Lord by
Providing more resources (books, holy hours, talks, presentations, etc.) with a Eucharistic focus.
Hosting an annual Eucharistic procession.
Involving more St. Benilde parishioners in our Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel.
A-3: To equip and support parents as primary educators of our Catholic Faith by
Offering more family-oriented faith formation programs and opportunities.
Sending liturgical and spiritual resources home with our school and faith formation families.
Greater promotion of Formed.org, highlighting resources specifically geared toward families and children.
B: Facilities – Master Plan for Parish & School B-1: To sustain and grow parish and school facilities so that we can continue serving the people of God for many years to come by
Continuing to work with Bernard Durmond, our architect, and other people with expertise on how best move forward with our proposed Master Plan and Capital Campaign.
C. Operations & Finance C-1: To strengthen the commitment of church and school families to accomplish common financial goals and operations demands by
Creating a unified process for ministries to submit an annual budget to the Parish Finance Council, further ensuring good stewardship of all resources entrusted to us.
C-2: To implement a process to communicate clearly and concisely the financial operations and stats of the parish and school by
Publishing an Annual Report detailing the state of the parish.
Publishing regular ministry spotlights via articles about parish ministries (finance council, money counters, parish council, SVDP).
Publishing more articles in the Clarion Herald publicizing the good things happening in our parish.
