On July 27, 2015, the National Executive Committee of the Boy Scouts of America ratified a resolution that removes the national restriction on openly gay adult leaders and employees. This policy change also affirms that chartered organizations may continue to use religious beliefs as criteria for selecting adult leaders in the scouting units they charter.
St. Benilde School has a long history of academic excellence, witnessed by our being a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and the numerous alumni who receive top academic scholarships and finish at or near the top of their high school graduating class. Yet our tradition of excellence is not enough for us. We believe that a next level is always waiting.
Our prayers are with the victims of the shootings in Lafayette, their families, and the entire community. As a people of God we must continue to pray and work for peace in our world.

The website and Facebook page for the Pastoral Care of Persons with Same-Sex Orientation, also known as LGBT, have been deactivated. An unauthorized person was able to access the website and post information that contradicts the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Throughout the course of our history God has blessed America. I believe that we have been blessed because America has been a generous country and has sought the good of our fellow human beings. In its history America has sought to do the right and to do the good. It is important that we never lose sight of this.
