Sisterhood circles is a program of a non-profit organization called "Labeled & Loved". It's a place where special needs moms can connect in small groups to learn tools to avoid caretaker burnout and build friendships. We meet at the same day and time once a month for 2 hours, usually at night. Registration fee for each participant is $25 for the year. There is usually an informal "meet and greet" type meeting in September and then the program starts in October and runs until May.
The curriculum for each session consists of real-life stories by real-life caregivers with relative discussion questions.During the discussion questions we can break up into small groups of 5-6 people. A licensed professional counselor has screened each story and set of questions for competency and sensitivity. We try to focus on self-worth, confidence, identity, healing, surrender, fun, peace, and boundaries.
Sisterhood Circles meet in the St. Benilde Teen Center the second Thursday of each month from 6-8:00 p.m. To learn more, contact Caroline Graham at [email protected].
